Thank you for visiting us via the Internet and World Wide Web. Wisconsin International University (WIU) appreciates your interest and invites your comments and suggestions.

Wisconsin International University has as its goal the establishment of campuses and/or programs on every continent to bring a United States style education to students who may benefit from and who have a desire in an education based on the curriculum and standards of United States universities and standards of the Ministry of Education in each country where WIU is located. The accreditation by the Ministry of Education and/or approval of the Government in the countries where WIU is established is recognition of the quality of its purpose.

With our world becoming a global village through communication, trade, and commerce, it is essential that countries work together and understand and appreciate each others history and culture.

WIU desires to bring PEACE, HARMONY, AND FREEDOM in the world in which we live and to inspire each individual to do their part to bring PEACE ON EARTH.

Wisconsin International University (WIU) was established in 1992 in the United States. The purpose of WIU is to provide students in various countries of the world the opportunity to continue their education and pursue degree programs which are modeled after United States universities and which meet the standards of the Ministry of Education in the countries where a campus is developed.

WIU established its first campus in 1993 in Europe in Tallinn, Estonia under the name of Concordia International University Estonia (CIUE) as an independent university offering a bachelor degree in international business.

Wisconsin International University Ukraine (WIUU) was established in Kiev, Ukraine in 1997 as an independent university offering a bachelor and master degree in business. WIUU is registered by the Kiev Regional Municipal Council under the official name of UKRAINE-AMERICAN HUMANITARIAN (LIBERAL ARTS) INSTITUTE - "Wisconsin International University Ukraine." WIUU is accredited by the Ukraine Ministry of Education.

WIU offers degree programs in Brazil through distant learning. As much as possible, these degrees are validated by Federal Universities in Brazil.

The Accreditation Board of the Ministry of Education in Ghana, Africa has granted accreditation to WIU Ghana for the bachelor and master degrees. Bachelor degree programs for traditional students as well as a non-traditional program in adult education are available.

Beeches Graduate School of Business in Nigeria, Africa has entered into a cooperative relationship with WIU which will enable Nigerian students to receive a degree from WIU after completing their course work and all requirements through BGSB. WIU is pleased to provide this opportunity to students in another African country.

The WIU Asian office is now located in Malaysia. Through a partner of WIU, Global Merge Network, WIU will continue to provide degree programs in Asia. The most recent country will include Cambodia. Contact the Asian Regional Office for more information.

Wisconsin International University has an agreement with Schiller International University which has campuses in Florida (USA), England, France, Germany, Spain and Switzerland. Students from WIU may transfer their credits to any of these locations.

The purpose of WIU is to provide students in various countries of the world the opportunity to continue their education and pursue degree programs which are similar to USA universities and which meet the standards of the Ministry of Education in countries where a campus is established.

While WIU does not have a campus in the USA, nevertheless, WIU is authorized to grant bachelor, master, and doctoral degrees to international students by the Accrediting Commission International (ACI), a non-governmental accrediting agency located in the State of Arkansas (USA). SUMMARY INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS

The student should understand that:

  1. WIU is a private university, approved as a non-profit university by the United States Department of Treasury.
  2. WIU is accredited by Accrediting Commission International (ACI) located in the State of Arkansas (USA) and is approved by ACI to grant bachelor, master, and doctor degrees. ACI is an independent accrediting agency which accredits universities worldwide. More information can be obtained about ACI at their website at www.accreditnow.com
  3. WIU does not have a campus in the USA. It only has the international office. As an international university, WIU is subject to the government laws in each country where it offers degree programs.
  4. Each individual educational institution determines the recognition of the WIU degree according to its own university policy.
  5. It is the responsibility of the individual employer to determine if it will accept the WIU degree.

Students are advised to make inquiries in their countries regarding the acceptance of the degree from WIU before enrolling in a degree program by WIU. It is a matter of discretion for employers and organizations to accept the degrees awarded by WIU.
