recommended by Wisconsin International University.
MBA 501 INTERNATIONAL MANAGEMENT This course is designed to help the student develop the skills needed to be effective in international interactions and in daily operations in foreign subsidiaries and the skills needed for the effective management of people and processes in an intercultural context. MBA 502 INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS This course studies the nature and environment of international business, multinational business operations, financial structures and financing, and marketing in the international context. MBA 503 INTERNATIONAL MARKETING This course studies the market function and its role in the economy, especially in the international environment and the role of marketing in achieving corporate objectives including an integrated overview of legal, social and political constraints and responsibilities. MBA 504 ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOR This course studies the organization as a complex system, including line and staff functions, administrative/leadership styles, motivation, group dynamics and the impact of each of these on the achievement of organizational goals. MBA 505 HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT This course help students discover the skills of people management at first-line and middle-management levels of personal administration. Topics include forecasting employment needs, attracting and orienting personnel, performance appraisal, and salary and promotion policies. MBA 506 INTERNATIONAL FINANCE This course examines the role of financial management with an emphasis on multinational corporations. Topics include foreign exchange, the determinant forces of exchange rate changes, the multinational corporation, foreign direct investment, and determinants of international flow of goods and funds. MBA 507 INTERNATIONAL ECONOMICS This course examines the interaction among government policies and the IMF, World Bank, regional banks, GATT, EEC and other institutions. It also presents theories on international trade, international monetary economics, and global issues along with the related policies MBA 508 FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING This course helps the student to understand accounting implications of generally accepted accounting principles as they relate to the recording of financial transactions, the preparation of financial statements, balance sheet equations, and accounting for revenues and receivables. MBA 509 STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT This course interweaves all aspects of management and control. An emphasis is placed on developing the skills required to produce integrated business strategies and policies as demonstrated by a comprehensive business management plan. MBA 510 BUSINESS LAW This course covers the subject of contracts, agency, sales, negotiable instruments, partnerships, and corporations by a study of court decisions. It traces the development of common law and statutory modifications pertaining to common carriers, mortgages, real estate, insurance, bankruptcy regulations, and regulation of trade. MBA 511 CASE STUDY
The Case Study involves the study of a problem similar to those found in case studies in the various courses of the MBA program which may also be a problem in the business or organization where the student is employed. The goal of the student is to identify the problem, analyze it, and propose a solution. MBA 512 UNITED STATES BUSINESS AND CULTURE Students will be encouraged to travel to the United States for a one week session to study United States business and culture. Students who are unable to travel to the United States will be required to do additional work. |
