THE
COMPUTER SCIENCE AND OFFICE MANAGEMENT ROGRAMME
Objectives
- This programme
is for workers and students who wish to understand the theoretical
conditions of computer science and technology and use these in their
general management skills at their office and workplace.
- The programme
approaches computing as a science, studying the developing properties
and capabilities of computers and examines how software can be written
or used to meet the requirements of computer users.
- The programme
approaches office management as a skill, and studies skills in general
management, interpersonal and communication skills, company productivity
in marketing, customer service and financial management.
- The programme
indicates the role of administration as one in which the key resources
for competence are information and knowledge. It helps the student
to understand the tools for handling the three dimensions of administration
namely; People, Processes and Technology.
The programme
also enables the student to have good foundation for further studies.
