The mission of Worldwide International University (WIU) is to provide education opportunities to students in developing countries. WIU USA provided the financial support and expertise to establish WIU universities in Tallinn, Estonia; Kiev, Ukraine; and Accra, Ghana. These universities are all accredited by the Ministry of Education in these countries. In addition, WIU has provided degree programs in countries in Asia and in the country of Brazil.

In 2004, Beeches Graduate School of Business (BGSB) in Nigeria contacted WIU for a cooperative relationship. BGSB in itself, is a professional organization recognized in law, under the Company and Allied Matters Decree 1, of 1990 of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, to engage in the business of Education, Training and Development; and to carry all other activities as are provided in its Articles and Memorandum of Association.

BGSB conducts lectures and tutorials for professional organizations, and for foreign universities running open and/or extended degree programs. In addition, BGSB runs its own graduate business programs in order to sustain the rate of development and accommodate the Millennium Development Goals. BGSB achieves this through extended programs designed to give it and other foreign universities a position to constitute what quality of education should be in Nigeria and Africa at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Students who meet all the degree course requirements at BGSB can be certified with a WIU degree and graduate on request by BGSB.

WIU is pleased to be working with BGSB. WIU recognizes that BGSB provides quality education programs and with that comes expenses for BGSB in employing highly qualified faculty and office staff, and for logistics to conduct its programs and is entitled to receive tuition fees from the student for these services. WIU does not receive funds from the student in Nigeria since it does not have expenses in Nigeria. Its goal is helping Nigerian students receive a higher education degree and WIU is pleased to do that through BGSB.

The student should carefully read the credentials of WIU on the WIU website. It is a matter of discretion for employers, organizations or other universities to accept degrees awarded by any university. Students are therefore, advised to make inquiries in Nigeria regarding the acceptance of the degree from WIU before enrolling in a degree program or before making a commitment to that effect.
